<h4>Boosting Posts is a Bad Idea!</h4>
<p>Here's why.</p>
<p>Too little rewards for too much work (and cost).</p>
<p>Sure, boosting a post for $5 a pop looks cheap.</p>
<p>But it really isn't cheap. It's <strong>DECEPTIVELY</strong> cheap! That's a surefire way to spend hundreds of dollars without ever seeing a positive return!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bye bye ROI!</em></p>

<h4>Why Facebook Doesn't Work for Realtors?</h4>
<p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Because it doesn't belong to agent!</span></em></p>
<p>Obvious, isn't it? LOL!</p>
<p>The number one reason agents told me Facebook didn't work for real estate was <em>because they were boosting posts!</em> They were not getting their money back.</p>
<p>And obviously, because, agents forget this crucial fact: <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Facebook is a platform that works only for the interests of Mark, whatever that may be.</strong></span></p>
<p><em>It doesn't work for realtors' interests! Facebook only wants their money!</em></p>
<p>This should be pretty <span style="text-decoration: underline;">obvious</span>, yet agents keep forgetting this fact and keep getting burnt!</p>
<p>Facebook is not your company. It only works for Mark!</p>

<h4>Why Facebook Shows the (Deceptively Attractive) Option to Boost a Post?</h4>
<p>So, once we have this out of the way, the next thing you need to understand is why FB does it? Why does FB keep showing you recommendations to waste your hard-earned money?</p>
<p>Facebook is a social platform. It wants to keep people on Facebook while making money off of you. It's a business needing to make profits. Again, pretty obvious.</p>
<p>So it shows you cheap ways to spend more on your posts while giving you what they think you want (which is not really what you truly want).</p>
<p>Obviously, this isn't working out for many realtors. In fact, those agents start thinking Facebook doesn't give real estate business.</p>
<p>And so they TOTALLY QUIT advertising on Facebook! <br />
They GIVE UP on Facebook Marketing, which is a valuable source for potential business to many realtors out there.</p>
<p>If other property agents are making money from Facebook, why aren't you?<br />
All because you missed several critical signs that could have (and should have) worked in your favour.</p>
<p>Here's why.</p>

<h4>The Hidden Dangers of Boosted Posts Property Agents Don't Realise:</h4>
<ol>
 	<li>This creates more work for you, like, replying with Personal Messages, increasing repetitive back-and-forth and wasting time</li>
 	<li>It forces you to play by prospects' rules because they don't have any skin in the game as they can stop replying whenever they want to</li>
 	<li>It keeps prospects on Faecbook's platform (because the conversation ends on facebook, not on your website)</li>
 	<li>It takes you away from Income Producing Activities (like appointments, viewings, presentations etc.)</li>
 	<li>It wastes your money using the deceptively cheap budgets of $5 (but that isn't really cheap since an ROI of 0% is pretty much a HUGE loss)</li>
</ol>
<p>Here's the biggest reason of all: It keeps you <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">DEPENDENT</span> </strong>on that one platform for business!</p>
<p>Like how some online property portals (hint! hint! you know which ones right?) enticed agents with free business and once they had enough members, they raised their fees! Then quadrupled it every year! And agents went up in arms!</p>
<p>Agents (finally) realised that there was no free lunch... (is there?)</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Dan Kennedy once said,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>"The WORST business is the business of ONE!"</em></strong></p>
<p>If your business is overly reliant on one single strategy, one single platform, one single method, then your livelihood is in MORTAL danger!</p>

<h4>The FAR Better Alternative to Boosting Posts For Peanuts</h4>
<p>A much better way is to run ads that sends prospects to your landing page (kinda like a website with an offer and a form) which is direct response marketing, which is ideally suited to real estate as well.</p>
<p>In exchange for their email, phone and name, you get to build your own database!</p>
<p>And this will free you up from depending on Facebook (or online property portals)!</p>
<p>Your ultimate goal should be to build your own lists! Yes, you only want to sell houses and make money, but the world we live in is dominated by Google, Facebook et al.</p>
<p>Learn the rules, then play around them!</p>

<h4>Advantages of Building Your Own List and Your Own Database:</h4>
<ol>
 	<li>You take back CONTROL (because you're no longer at others' mercy)</li>
 	<li>You maintain OWNERSHIP (you can do as your please)</li>
 	<li>You have a real ASSET that appreciates in value year after year (because you don't start each year back from scratch)</li>
 	<li>You can promote your listings at ANY TIME (and as often as you want)</li>
 	<li>You can filter and QUALIFY prospects (based on what they do, not what they say they do)</li>
 	<li>You can do it for almost FREE (since you're no longer paying other platforms and profits more than make up for the costs)</li>
</ol>

should you be using it to you know get inquiries for your listings all right and the simple answer is actually no why is that here's the thing right the first thing for you to understand is that facebook is a platform it's social media right so facebook objective what's facebook go what's the agenda you have to understand the history you have to understand what are they trying to achieve what are they trying to do first book you know are they working for you obviously no they work for themselves to work for mark right obviously so what facebook agenda facebook number one goal is obviously to dominate the internet right and what is the business objective the business objective is to make money obviously right and how do they make money by keeping people on facebook and facebook does everything to to simply keep people on facebook because they don't want to become another myspace right so myspace went out of business a lot many years ago because they you know they start the advertising too far and they become spammy too quickly and people didn't like it and that's why they left and you know this is where facebook really shines and facebook is very good at you know trying to understand what are your life what people really like and then that's why they show advertising to people who are more likely to you know like it comment it click on it and that's the reason you know the facebook works to get leads to get business but the thing is that you know when agents are posting when the indians are posting the listings on their pages you know on the personal even on their personal profile they get a lot of you know suggestions from facebook to post a post now you know i always teach my agent that actually they're wasting the money but agents keep saying that you know it's just five dollars 10 20 it's super cheap yes it's cheap but you know if you don't get back the money seriously you will have no more money to advertise in future it will become 1000 it will become 2000 you will become 5 000 wasted advertising dollars and you don't want to make the mistake right i used to make the mistake and i'm some of my agents even you know they used to make a mistake and by the way when i started seeing idiots right when it starts coming to me to ask me you know what works you know why are the ads not working and you know whether or not they should be using facebook and for those particular group of agents who did not believe in using facebook do you know what the problem was the problem was that they were posting posts right so i'm just giving it to you black and white those agents who were losing money with facebook precisely because they were boosting posts they did not see a return on their investment even though it's a five dollar investment and this is they were coming to me they were telling me hey you know you know i'm i'm advertised i've spent like hundred dollars and i've yet to see hundred three hundred dollars come back to me i get to see i will turn on my investment so that's a very poor return obviously no matter the amount i'm not disparaging the hundred dollar even 200 is very little right but you know obviously you know this is just realized that that hundred dollar if not you know return that's a good thing they should be you should be focusing on return of your money how matter no matter how small it is all right so so the answer is basically stop boosting posts and the biggest reason that you should be stop boosting post is for you to do income producing activities very simple right when you boost post flight what happens is that more people maybe your friends or friends or friends they see your post right and people comment they ask you pm me can i get back to you pm me and that makes you as the agent do more admin job you know it makes you become a full-time social media manager do you want to become a social media manager or do you want to be a real estate agent helping people buy or sell property i'm sure the answer is very simple right so you know when people comment on your post people ask you to reach out to them call them back you know it creates more work for you because you don't know you know who are serious who is not serious right and the best way to gauge leads is to actually get the name about email address simple as that right and that only happens outside of facebook when you tell facebook to send traffic to your website right and your website is out there with a form right with name mobile email address and that by the way is called data response marketing and that response marketing it has been around for a long time and it's ideally suited for real estate as well because as a realtor you can get you know leads you can get the name mobile email address and then you can follow up with them again and again and again until they buy from you right and the biggest you know the biggest strategy you know facebook is doing is keeping people on facebook that does not align with your goal your goal is to make money you're going to build your own list build your own platform right and your goal may not be okay may not be to build your own platform but your goal definitely is to not be reliant to not rely on other platforms for business for income right like for example a property guru the first time they started you know they gave everything for free right free account free credit free posting whatever free and suddenly all the agents started joining and then they were they were you know getting a lot of inquiries and a lot of people were visiting property guru until they put a stop to it they put a payroll you know they say okay enough now we need to charge money and then they charge money and those agents were overly reliant suddenly found out that there's no free lunch in the world right and there's a cost for everything so because of that your goal your strategy should be built your own platform your own distribution channel if you look carefully all the successful business people you know especially if you watch shark tank just like me right so all the sharks on shark tank they have their own distribution channel and they just get the entrepreneurs to pitch them ideas and then they choose the product that they know get they can fit their own distribution channel they already have a platform they already have a marketing you know base that they can sell to you just need the right product and then they they they basically connected the product and then boom they make money your goal should be the same way right you're going to be build your own your own marketing platform and building your own list is the best way since the to move forward and then the best way for you to reach out to prospect each of the buyers reach out to sellers in future you can send them whatever property that you have to sell you can send them whatever it is that you want them to buy you know that's the best way to make you know make money that's the best strategy and boost impulse does not fit well with it because like i said earlier it takes you away from income producing activity now income producing activities are stuff that directly gives you money stuff like you know closing the stuff like you know presenting an appointment stuff like face-to-face meetings right these are the more you know profitable areas that you should be doing more and you should be doing less of stuff like admin like reply like for the property description you should probably automate it you should probably hire somebody to do it for you or you should probably you know use technology to automate a lot of their stuff right so so you know back to my question is you know facebook booze going to be profitable and my answer is very clear no you should actually get them to you know go to your website become a lead and that's a better strategy</p>    </div>
