25 Best Real Estate Apps for Agents in 20231 min read

With so many real estate apps on the app store, figuring out which ones deserve space on your smartphone or iPad isn’t easy. That’s why I put together this list of the best real estate apps that are helping agents stay organized, market their brands, and close more deals in 2023 and beyond.

In this guide, I have organized my selections by category, so be sure to use the table of contents below to find your new favorite real estate app.

What Are Real Estate Apps?

Real estate apps are applications designed for smartphones and tablets that help real estate professionals and their clients generate leads, market homes, and buy and sell properties. While most real estate apps are mobile versions of websites designed for desktop computers, some like Curb Hero were designed specifically as apps for use on mobile devices.

How I Chose the Best Real Estate Apps?

Choosing the best apps is never an easy task. To make sure I was being objective, I looked at five key criteria to choose my picks for the best apps:

  1. Utility: Does the app solve a common problem for agents? Would that be worth solving?
  2. Pricing: Is the pricing affordable? If not, does the app offer working agents a good return on investment (ROI)?
  3. Ease of use: Is the app well-designed and intuitive? Can non-techy agents use it easily without calling tech support?
  4. Network effect: Is the app popular with agents? Is there a community that provides support and best practices?
  5. Stability: Does the app work as intended most of the time, or does it frequently crash or lag?

Best Real Estate CRM Apps

1. Propertybase

Propertybase real estate app interface

Pricing: Custom

Let’s face it: To get ahead in real estate in 2023, drip campaigns, text messaging, a mobile app, call logging, pipelines, and a dialer are no longer optional for a robust customer relationship manager (CRM). Luckily, Propertybase is up to the challenge, ticking pretty much every box that today’s real estate agents, teams, and brokerages need out of an app.

Combining a rock-solid, Salesforce-based CRM with MLS integration, Propertybase is a true all-in-one platform that won’t let you down. And the fact the company’s IDX lead-generating websites have won accolades from RealTrends got our attention as well.

Throw in an available transaction management platform, and you may not need to buy any more software—ever.

IXACT’s CRM is affordable for almost any agent at $33 per month, and includes advanced features for social media marketing along with all the usual contact management features agents demand from their CRMs today. Even better, IXACT Contact offers new agents six months free—no strings attached.

You can manage leads, send bulk emails, manage showings, list properties, and track your team’s performance, quickly and easily—all from your iPad. That’s probably why agents and team leaders gave Sierra’s app 4.8 stars over 733 reviews on the app store.

Sierra’s app works seamlessly with their RealTrends award-winning IDX websites, but you can also just get the CRM if you already have your web presence set.

22. Bubble Level App (aka Spirit Level)

Bubble Level App

Pricing: Free

Here’s one for agents who constantly find themselves showing prewar listings that need a little TLC. Is that door frame level, or is it the floor that’s wonky? Instead of guessing or raiding the contractor’s toolbox, you can just pull out your phone and get a quick reading.

If you’re on Android, the Bubble Level app will serve you well. If you’re on iOS, you have a bubble level built in. The only problem is that it’s kind of hidden. Here’s a quick rundown of how to find it.

24. Forewarn

Forewarn

Pricing: $20 per month (enterprise pricing available)

In hot markets like Williamsburg in Brooklyn, last-minute and evening showings are becoming increasingly common. If you aren’t willing to show on a buyer’s or renter’s schedule, there are 10 other agents who will be more than happy to jump at the opportunity. The problem, of course, is safety. Meeting a stranger alone in an empty apartment—no matter the time of day or neighborhood—can be risky.

Forewarn offers agents an easy way to screen leads so they can accept more showings. Using just an incoming phone number, Forewarn can instantly pull up the lead’s real name, criminal history, current property and vehicle ownership, and even bankruptcy history.

25. REAL Messenger

businessman holding a mobile phone

After starting a buzz at a recent NAR conference, I couldn’t help but include Fredrik Eklund’s new app, REAL Messenger, on my list. It promises to bring together two things Realtors can’t live without: lead generation and social media. Think of it as an exclusive club for buyers, sellers, and agents offering information about hot properties that haven’t hit the MLS yet.

While the app is still fairly new, it could offer buyers and sellers of high-end homes a Zillow-like experience that is both better tailored to their needs and more fun and engaging. But Eklund and his team have a steep mountain to climb here, since social media apps live or die by something called network effect—the more people use the app, the more useful it becomes, and vice versa.

We’re going to keep a close eye on REAL Messenger, and we’d advise listing agents in hot markets to do the same.

YASSER KHAN

Author, Coach & Trainer

Yasser Khan earned less than $1,000 in his first year as a full time property agent. With no money for the $2 train fare to his Broker's office, he was forced to walk 25 kilometers on foot. Worse, he got evicted at midnight with his wife and baby son by the roadside. Desperate, he bought a $16 Sales book and took massive action. That single investment in himself gave him an OBSCENE ROI of $160,000 in just 11 months. Today, Yasser is on a mission to make the real estate great career again and helps ambitious agents quadruple their commission income within 90 days.

Yasser Khan is a real estate coach at YasserKhan.SG, trainer at PropertyAgentUniversity.com and the author of Property Agent Secrets Book who teaches Realtors how to make more Money, have more Time and enjoy more Freedom without all the B.S. plaguing the industry today.

Yasser Khan’s approach to coaching is highly personalised, holistic, no B.S., and for “PROS ONLY… amateurs not allowed.” He believes that true success means winning in every single area of your life (like Financial, Family, Social, Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Fun).

When Yasser isn’t coaching, he loves playing GOTY PC Games with top-of-the-line Razer products and being a kid again with his 3 naughty children (actually, boss babies...), traveling to and across scenic Pakistan, enjoying hot & spicy food, taking pictures of the Milky Way with his favourite Canon DSLR and reading up all about Dinosaurs (especially T. Rex)
