Everyone is obsessed with success.

Everybody wants to appear and feel successful. Who wouldn't, right?

There are many ways to measure success. Some measure it with money and some even measure it with awards and certificates.

But there have been cases when realtors even go out of business after receiving their well sought after award.

But what is the real definition of success in Real Estate?

What is real success as a realtor?

Obviously a common definition of success is your INCOME.

That means you earn so much money that you're able to cover all your expenses with having much more left.

With different lifestyles, you are able to support your ideal lifestyle, may it be to retire early, spend more time with your family or even travel a lot!

The key here is whatever your income may be, you must feel REWARDED.

The second definition is RESPECT.

This is even bigger than income.

If you'e not respected in the industry, it doesn't matter how much you do or how long you stay, you will burn out really fast with the lack of fulfillment that comes from the the lack of respect.

Prospects and even fellow agents must respect you enough to be able to approach you for advice and have your advice taken seriously.

THEY LISTEN TO YOU.

It doesn't matter how long you've been a realtor, if people around you don't respect you and your advice falls into deaf ears, you are far from successful.

Another way to measure success is through TIME.

We've all known different agents who work 90, even 100, hour work weeks.

That is obviously outside the normal work week.

40 hours - 8 hours a day - 5 days a week. This is definitely enough for you to pursue other interests besides Real Estate.

Remember, Real Estate is not your life!

Go get  a hobby! spend your time doing what you want to do. Don;t waste your time working yourself to death.

One more way to measure success is through CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We've been talking about this and I couldn't emphasize enough how important customer service is.

Being able to provide great customer service isn't only good for present prospects, but they are an amazing investment to your business.

Customers keep coming back and even refer you to more and more customers.

Being able to exceed expectations is astonishing and this will greatly contribute to your success.

There are so many ways to look at success, but in Real Estate, This is what success looks like.

So a lot of agents probably agents out there they are very obsessed with success. Everybody wants to be successful, everybody wants to you know look and appear successful and feel successful. So but what nobody is asking is what exactly is success? It seems that you know right now the only way to measure success is by becoming a top producer or winning awards, but is winning awards really the definite you know definition for success? I don't think so. right so you know you mean many I've seen many property agents who may win an award but after that nobody hears from them right and I've seen personally I've known personally some agents who won top producer awards but then they went out of business after a few years later right. So what's the real definition of success and why should you know you stop being so obsessed with awards and all that and in this video I'm going to answer all these questions! So from my personal experience right you know even though I personally when I was used when I used to be a real estate agent, I personally never won a top producer award because it was not important to me and you know I was fortunate enough to get coached by a mentor who knew the value of who knew what real success looks like right so in this video I'm gonna explain to you what real success looks like all right. Obviously the biggest definition of success is you earn a rewarding income as a real estate agent. That means you earn so much money that you're able to cover all your expenses and you have a lot of savings left. You are able to you know lead the ideal lifestyle. Your income is able to support the lifestyle that you want for yourself. Now everybody is different everybody's lifestyle objectives are different everybody has different needs and wants and you know having a good income is definitely you know able to support the ideal lifestyle that you want. Maybe your lifestyle is to retire or maybe your lifestyle is to you know spend more time with your family or you travel a lot. So every eating lifestyle preferences differ so the obviously the the best the first the gate the first gauge to major success is basically income right. So how much income is big enough so some agents you know it may it may be that you know they earn you know we come off 1 million a year that's enough for them or for some agents you don't even earn one hundred thousand dollars you know in Commission and it's enough for them. So every agent is going to be different but the key word here is rewarding income so you must feel rewarded by that income and feel really really sufficient you feel really really you know successful right in terms of the income that you earn. So there's the first definition. The second one we're going to be even bigger than income is that you are view as you know your view to respect and respect is a definition of success too because if you're not respected in the industry it doesn't matter how much you do or how long you stay and then this industry you will burn you out very very fast if you not feel fulfilled you don't feel respected by your prospect. So you know your prospect if you ask us to be successful your prospect must respect you they must be you as the authority when it comes to buying or selling real estate. They must respect you enough to want to go out to approach you for your advice and you know by when I say respected when I say that you know probably agents feel respected it also means that you know your advice is taken seriously by prospects. They listen to you. Clients actually go and implement the advice that you give it to them so it doesn't matter you know it doesn't matter how many years when the real estate but if you are not new to this take your advice falls on deaf ears and then prospects and listening to you, clients are not really listening to you then you're not successful. Alright and another way of success is to measure time right you're able to pursue outside interests. Get in real estate if you're successful you only work you know fixed amount of time unlike other property agents who work you know 90 hour work week or even 100 hours a week but you were the normal work week right what is the normal work week. Normal work with maybe a 40-hour work week at most eight hours a day and five days a week and then have enough time to pursue your outside interest. Obviously real estate not your life right. You also you know every human being have other needs and want as well right so you have enough time to pursue outside interests maybe some of your interests have to do with PC gaming. Some of your interests have to do with in racing or buying cars for example or some of your interests you know are watching movies or motorcycles. It doesn't matter but what matters is that you have the time to spend quality time if you're family and you're able to pursue you know what you love to do. Like for example those things that you love to do mean not necessarily be very profitable but because of your successful real estate career you are able to spend time on activities that you're able to that those activities don't make you money but maybe you feel fulfilled right so there's what I mean by this successful criteria and another successful criteria of being a successful real estate agent yeah another way to measure success is that you're able to provide amazing customer service to your customer. And because of that as all of that day they're going to refer you more and more customers to you because you are able to provide them amazing customer service were able to you know to help them help buyers help sellers you know with the real estate need but you're able to exceed the expectations because you know the number one reason most people most probably agents are not able to do that is because they're too busy business and that's why they neglect to serve the customers that they already have right so it's a dilemma for most real estate agent yet successful real estate agents are not only able to earn a rewarding income. They're also able to do amazing customer service and provide Wow customer service to the buyer to the seller to the client and as a result of that they feel so satisfied that they don't mind referring more business they don't mind if earn more buyers more sellers to your real estate business and that is that is how you know you become even more successful because you're able to provide amazing customer service to an infinite number of customers right. So that is how successful real estate career. That is what success looks like.
